Shield Barretteby *FreckleOnMyPalm

Artisan Crafts / Jewelry

I randomly made this. Isn't it cool? Lol.

I made it out of sculpey and shaped/carved it with an x-acto knife. Its painted with acrylics and covered with a matte varnish. I hot glued a barrette to it (before baking I made a slot to fit it in)

Wore this to work today, lol. No one commented on it though, oh well XD

Um if you don't know this is Link's Hylian shield in barrette form. Being the uber-dork I am I made sure that the shield only sits up-right when worn on the right side as that's Link's shield arm.

I made this one out of sculpty actually

; It wasn't very durable though (I'm hard on hair clips) so any I'd make in the future I'd make out of sculpt epoxy. Once I find some I'll have a few of these (and other themes) up for sale
